Roofing Systems
Triton's range of roofing systems includes light weight Isola Powertekk steel roof tiles and the Platon DE25 drainage and water storage system which enables the construction of a "green roof".
Isola Powertekk

- Easy to install
- Light weight
- Shatterproof
- Vandal proof
- Wind resistant
Weighing just 7.7 kg/m2, which is around seven times lighter than concrete tiles, Powertekk steel roof tiles are made from cold rolled steel and coated with a clear acrylic top coat for extra durability. Suitable for all types of domestic or commercial buildings, particularly in exposed areas the traditional appearance of Powertekk steel roof tiles makes them virtually indistinguishable from clay or concrete equivalents. Life expectancy is around 70 years.
Their impact resistance makes them particularly suitable for sporting facilities such as cricket pavilions and golf clubhouses, whilst their vandal resistance means they are also ideal for school buildings and health and community centres. Their light weight also makes them suitable for use on prefabricated and portable buildings, or in the refurbishment of old pitched roofs where the construction is too frail for heavier replacements.
Powertekk tiles can be installed on all types of roof construction including pitched roofs between 90º and 10º. They are fitted to battens using nails or screws with practised installers often taking less than half the time it takes to fit traditional tiles.
Supporting structures can also be much lighter with rafters spaced at greater intervals than with traditional tiles. In new build projects, the low weight of the tiles can also lead to savings on the size of the building foundations.
There is a complete range of accessories available for Powertekk tiles including vents, ridges, gutters, valleys and roof edges.

Isola Mestertekk
Mestertekk is a high quality single ply SBS modified bituminous roofing felt. Isola Mestertekk can be applied to all types of roofs, industrial buildings, blocks of flats and domestic housing, both on flat or pitched roofs. Isola Mestertekk is loose laid and mechanically fixed, and when used on refurbishment contracts can be applied over the original covering with minimal preparation.
Isola Mesertekk is available in a range of colours - please contact Triton for more information.
Supplied in rolls of 1m x 10m rolls.
Platon DE25
Platon DE25 is the ideal solution for the construction of flat green areas on top of buildings and underground structures such as car parks and garages. It is laid between the waterproofing and soil layer. The stud design of DE25 provides an excellent function that combines drainage and water storage as one efficient system. The water storage capacity is approximately 6.1 litre/m2. The design of DE25 allows for excess water to drain away onto the primary membrane.
Installation: The individual DE25 sheets are overlapped by one row of studs, and covered by a filter fabric so the soil does not obstruct the water storage or drainage layers. Soil is spread out over the filter fabric, and the vegetation can then be planted.
Supplied in 1.35 x 2.22 sheets.

Platon Xtra
Platon Xtra has been used in pitched turf roof constructions for over 20 years. Aging tests indicate that the Platon membrane has an expected life of at least 50 years. The Platon membrane, the main component in the system, is manufactured from HDPE, a material that is water repellent and resistant to chemicals. The Platon membrane combined with other components, creates a complete Earth Covered Roof System.
Supplied in 2.07 x 20m rolls.
Isola Roofing Shingle

Isola Roofing Shingle is an attractive high quality range of roofing finishes manufactured from a combination of bitumen and bitumen impregnated fibreglass to achieve the ultimate in waterproofing, rot, tear resistance and flexibility. The Shingle is topped with a high quality aggregate, is totally impervious to wind, rain and snow and can withstand extremes of temperature and humidity without deterioration. Using the Shingle as an alternative to conventional roofing materials can deliver considerable cost savings as it is considerably lighter, and therefore smaller dimension timbers can be used in construction. The advanced two-stage adhesive system also ensures long term performance for this weatherproof Shingle which remains watertight on roofs between 15° and 85° pitch. The preset overlap can lead to savings of up to 20% on time and materials when compared to using Shingle with a pitch dependent overlap. Particularly suitable for leisure and garden buildings, Isola Roofing Shingle is available in a variety of profiles and colours with a full range of accessories.
